Volusia County Courthouse
Elizabeth Hall

DeLand, Florida
2000

In Early 1999 Professional Restoration, Inc.
was awarded a contract by the County of
Volusia to carry out the restoration of the
complete north facade of their courthouse
in Deland.

The before and after pictures define with great clarity the results of the restoration work.

The initial courthouse built circa 1923 utilizing a beautiful mixture of classic stone, terra cotta, and brickwork was considered a masterpiece of architectural design throughout Florida.

Sometime in the 1950's a decision was taken to spray the entire masonry stone and blockwork with a cementatious product and it has fallen to Professional Restoration, Inc. to reclaim the beautiful architectural artistry of this building.

In 2000, the East, South, and West facades were added to the project.

The project was completed in Fall of 2001.
